Recommended Charcuterie Cups, Cones, Bowls and Stands

In recent years, due to the pandemic, the charcuterie industry reinvented how they packaged and served charcuterie to clients and friends.  There needed to be a way that people could still gather, eat their favorite appetizers, yet keep their distance from others and prevent any chance of cross contamination.  Hence, the idea for a charcuterie cone was born.  Then the idea grew from there to cups, bowls, baskets, lunch boxes, etc.   Now the sky is the limit.

While individual servings of charcuterie have become very popular recently, they can present challenges when designing the presentation.  The most challenging being the charcuterie cones.  Since they can not stand on their own, you will need some kind of cone stand to display them and for guests to select from. I also prefer wood stand over plastic or metal because of the natural look as well as the longevity.

If you are selling cones for your business, you can purchase these really cute disposable confetti stand boxes or find something else similar.

When serving cups or bowls, the easiest and most space efficient way to display and serve them is with a multi-tiered stand.  You can go with either a riser style stand (like the featured product above) or a ladder stand, which are also very popular.  What I like about the ladder stand that I recommend is that each tier has a raised edge, to keep the cups from sliding off the edge.  If you are handy with power tools, you can also build your own.

There are multiple options for disposable personal charcuterie containers.  Some of the most widely used are the cone, cup, bowl and plate.  One thing to keep in mind is that if you are making skewers to place in your containers, you want to make sure that there is a raised back like in the cones and cups that I recommend.  It will help keep your food in place.

Charcuterie lunch boxes have really taken off lately as well.  You can either you the palm leaf plates or go with a small bakery box.  Add a cute circular logo sticker and tie some string around the box with some disposable silverware and a piece of fresh rosemary for aesthetic appeal.

When assembling your charcuterie cups or cones, you will want to put together some kind of skewer to add some height to the container.  There are a few skewers I have used and liked.  I prefer the skewers with a decorative charm of sorts at the top verses the twisted end skewers.  They look classier in my opinion.  I also found that the length of the skewer is very important.  I would not go smaller than 5.9″ or you will run out of space on the stick and it will not stick our very high above the other food.

Charcuterie cones are a generally the fan favorite with their cute design and ergonimic shape.  However, their biggest flaw is the pointed bottom.  Consider some kind of individual holder that guests can set their cones into if they want a break from holding it (like a small mason jar or wine glass).  I love these Sunshine mini mason jars.  They are a bit more expensive than normal mason jars, but make a big statement.  Your guests will LOVE them!

If you are selling any of these products,  especially the cups and cones, consider adding a circular label with your logo on it.  Never let a moment go by that current or potential clients could see your business name.  The more they see it, the more likely you will be the first name that pops in their head when they need charcuterie products for an event.  Branding, branding, branding!!!
